| Quick technical question: Is the compressor in the Advance a reciprocating-type compressor or a scroll compressor? Thanks.

| The compressors used in our dehumidifier are rotary. Currently the most efficient compressors in the mid range size are rotary. Thank you, Ken

| OK, thanks. (I was trying to account for a noise pattern the unit makes after it has been running for a while, it's a buzz/vibration that alternates from a quieter to louder level maybe 2-3 times/second. You can hear it all the time if you actually put your ear against the case, and I have heard this same noise with a scroll compressor. I suppose it's consistent with a rotary unit since they are somewhat similar in the way they work)
