I purchased a home last year that has the apd 100-v dehumidifier.  It is about 2.5 years old and is located in the basement.  My ventilation/humidity control panel is located upstairs on the main level.  My home is about 4000 sq ft.  Question:  I live in the Atlanta area-what is the recommended programming of the unit?  I currently am running it on auto, medium setting..4 hours from 1am to 4 am and mid afternoon for 4 hours.  Is this too much or too little?

Thanks,  Karen

Welcome aboard to the Therma-Stor family.  Mid- range setting for humidity is good. You looling for 55-45%RH as a operating range.  Eight hours of ventilation per day should be adequate for a Atlanta home.  If the home has moisture on the inside of the windows during extreme cold weather, extend the ventilation time.  Keep posted on the operation of your home.  Thanks again, Ken

Sorry for my ignorance, but I assumed I would only run the dehumidifier in the summer and then shut down and run my humidifier in the winter as I cut it off in the summer.  Am I supposed to run the apd in the winter when I am also running my humidifier?

When the controls on the UA APD are set at 50%RH, the dehumidifier will operate when the indoor %RH exceeds 50%RH.  Therefore during the winter, the dehumidifier will not operate because of the lack of moisture.  Your humidifier should be set 35%RH max.  You may need fresh air ventilation all year.  The controls will automatically control both devices if set properly.  If further explanation is needed, looking forward to hearing from you.
