The room in my basement that contains the HVAC equipment as wells as the washer and dryer is extremely limited in avail room. Would it be possible to put the unit in the adjacent garage and seal it? Will this cause any ill effects. I imagine it would be the same as an attic installation in that the unit will be operating in unconditioned space. Also, I have an electronic air cleaner and well as a humidified (used only in the winter). How will those units interact with the UA-100. Do I still need the elctronic air cleaner or will the 100 with the air filter suffice? Any problem with air restriction into the heating/colling? I have a 2 yr old system including a 92% efficient forced air furnance and a 14 seer outside condensor as well as the Honeywell elct air cleaner and honeywell humdifier.

Yes, the UAs may be remoted to any area. The air is in the space that is being controlled is ducted to/from the UA. The standard filter is comparable to the eltrostatic air filters. The dehumidistat control will avoid conflict with your listed equipment. Make sure to incorporate your basement as part of the humidity control space. For areas with limited space, check out the UA 90H. The unit will control about 2,500 sqft. plus basement. It may be located on a shelf with about 2 ft. of height. Will be on the web shortly. Thanks for your interest.
