| I have a crawl space that is 3500 sq feet but the height is only about three feet. Since the volume of air is 3/8 of a customary eight foot high room ceiling, do I reduce the 3500 square feet by 3/8 (1312.5 sq feet) to size a dehumidifier for my crawl space?

| Suggest 135 pints of dehumidification for a 3,500 sq.ft. crawlspace. You may get by with a 90 pint depending on air leakage and outdoor moisture levels. Much depends on outdoor dew point levels. Best to have extra capacity. Ken

If anyone is sensitive to mold, suggest you clean the mold according to EPA recommendations. Drying the space will make the mold dormant and stop the mold growth. The Santa Fe Advance, 90 pint horizontal dehu will control the moisture. Did the mold grow after the plastic was placed down and the vents closed? Thanks Ken
