I was thinking of putting a hot tub in my basement. I already have a couple fish tanks upstairs with a 100 gal filter in the basement that has a pretty high evaporation rate. I do not want to ruin the walls or grow mold or anything. What type of dehumidifier should I look at? The space is about 40' by 20'

I want to get this part done before I buy the hot tub.

The Santa Fe Advance is a 90 pint per day dehumidifier. Expect good humidity with the moisture loads you mentioned. When the hot tub is inuse with top off and the jets operating, the %RH will rise above 50% RH momentarily. After the cover is replaced, the dehu regain control of the humidity in the space. If the tub was in constant use, use the Hi-E Dry 195 or two Advances. Keep us posted on results. Thanks Ken
