I have an indoor pool - building roughly 24m x 6m. pool size 12m x 4m. I have both the water and air heated geothermically. Do I also need a dehumidifier???

Thanks

Deborah

Location is northern France (Normandy, pool temperature will be about 26, air temp similar, covered, not sure about ventilation rate, heavy use in August, very little after that......does that help??

Well, if your pool room is as dry as your wine, you do not need a dehumidifier. My attempt at humor!
A covered pool with open windows/doors does not need dehumidification. Closed windows with uncovered water releases 4 liters per hour. With heavy useage, 8 liters per hour. Using a 4 liter per hour dehumidifier would dry the space to <60%RH within a couple hours replacing the plastic cover. France uses 50 cycle power therefore our pool dehumidifiers will not operate. If the pool is covered and not used in cold weather, a small amount of ventilation may adequate. Get a good hygrometer and check the %RH inside the poolroom. +60%RH and moisture on the windows are indicators of the need for dehumidification. Thanks for inquirey. Ken
