Hello all. We recently moved into a 30 year old home in Minneapolis. We've been having TERRIBLE indoor condensation problems. We've got an indoor hot tub and steam room and both are used extensively, especially now in the cold winter months...
My question is this...we noticed we have an attic exhaust fan . There is a control switch in the attic. We also have a humidifyer plumbed into the heating and cooling system. Are these fans typically wired into the central HVAC system? Do we have to set them separately?
Obviously, with the hot tub etc. we probably don't need the central humidifier running...but what settings should our attic exhaust fan be set at if at all?

| Attic ventilation is not an effective method of indoor moisture control winter or summer. You should have a good exhaust fan in the wet area of your home. The fan should operate during use of the moisture generating devices. Continue operation of the fan until the moisture level in the home returns to winter levels. Thanks Ken
