Two questions about the Ultra-Aire APD:
(1) If air temperature is 70 deg. and humidity 75%, what will be the output air temperature from the Ultra-Aire as it reduces humidity to 50%?
(2) Is the optional pleated-media air filter as effective as an electronic (Honeywell type) air filter in removing wood smoke from the air? In other words, would the standard filter plus elecronic air cleaner be a better choice than the optional filter without electronic for someone highly sensitive to smoke?

From Ken
When the input is 70^F, 75% the output is 90^F, 30% RH, removing 160 pints of water per day. This removes 6,000 btus of latent heat and 9,000 btus of sensible heat.
The optional pleated cloth filter is better than the electronic filters. Suggest optional filter in our machine and minimum of 60% eff. pleated clother a/c filter. Smoke is difficult to filter. May consider charcoal option in addition to the optional pleated filter.
The exiting the UA APD would be 90^F, 30% RH. Our pleated optional is 95%EFF which better HW eletronic. Because of the gas content of smoke suggest a combo of optional and charcoal filter.
The exiting air will be 90^F, 30% RH. The optional filter is 95% eff which +30% more efficient than HW. Suggest charcoal plus the optional filter for smoke because of gasous pollutants.
Thanks Ken
