Ultra-Aire Sales Representative – Southeast

Position Summary:

This role is a key member of our Ultra-Aire Sales Team. Individual will be responsible for increasing sales and profitability of the Ultra-Aire brand of products within a specific territory. Individual must love meeting people, building relationships, and providing great customer service. They must have a burning desire to increase sales and take pride in contributing directly to the bottom line

This is a remote opportunity that does not have to be based in Madison, Wisconsin. Individual must have the ability to travel between 50-75% of the time to support customers and participate in trade events.


  • Develop and maintain relationships with an assigned customer and sales territory
  • Conduct sales visits to customer sites on a regular basis
  • Seek out and call on prospective customers in person and over the phone
  • Seek, identify, report, and capture business opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales
  • Stay current on existing and emerging products and technologies
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products to assigned and potential accounts
  • Follow-up on all leads to assure that the customer/prospect is being serviced and document the outcome of the interaction
  • Generate profitable sales orders
  • Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management
  • Maintain ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company image and goals in the marketplace
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with customers and encourage/assist in their training and development when possible
  • Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner, assuring a favorable impression of self and the company
  • Completes sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy and management direction
  • Fulfill customer requests for current literature, catalogs, product pricing, etc
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and identify changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth
  • Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals
  • Coordinate customer returns and complete proper documentation on a timely basis
  • Inform customers of all relevant company policies and initiatives and report customer feedback to management
  • Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Routinely communicate schedule to management
  • Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job


  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong sales presence including problem solving, leadership and listening skills
  • Proven track record of increasing sales while improving margins
  • Demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations
  • Understanding of channel and customer dynamics in the IAQ/HVAC market
  • Understanding of building/structural humidity control, ventilation and air filtration technologies and practices preferred
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions
  • Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field with three years of relevant sales and industry experience or equivalent combined education and on the job experience
