Santa Fe Testimonials

Our crawlspace was very wet with mold growing on the floor joists and insulation. We experienced complete resolution to the water problem with the Santa Fe HC. Thank you!

We live in New Jersey and all year around there is a lot of moisture in the atmosphere. My basement used to smell musty and had high humidity levels. To solve the dampness problem in the basement, we decided to install a dehumidifier to control moisture. We did a lot of research before we selected the Santa Fe HC model. Since we have installed this into the basement, the moisture levels have reduced and now we have a dry basement and no more musty odors. We have hooked it to a condensate pump that discharges the water outside the basement. I would definitely recommend this model for large basements—it works great.

Protect Your Home and Your Family

The Santa Fe HC provides superior real world performance, energy efficiency, and the health benefits associated with the freedom from mold, mildew, and dust mites while consistently maintaining 50% relative humidity, and protecting the structural integrity of your home.

Relative humidity levels above 70% in your basement or crawlspace stimulate the growth of mold, mildew, bacteria and other biological allergens which generate musty odors. Air infiltration from the crawlspace contributes to poor indoor air quality and uncomfortable humidity levels. The Santa Fe HC offers time-tested technology to maintain recommended humidity levels in your basement or crawlspace and to protect your home and family from the costly consequences of high humidity.

Energy Efficient: Using only 11.4 amps of electricity, the Santa Fe HC offers as much as $200 per year in energy savings compared to the conventional dehumidifier. More pints of water per kilowatt of electricity means lower cost of operation.

Large Capacity: This high capacity dehumidifier removes up to 135 pints of water per day at standard conditions—enough water removal capacity for areas up to 3200 square feet. You would have to purchase multiple units to equal the water removal capacity of a single Santa Fe HC.

Low Temp Operation: Powerful enough to control humidity even in the cooler environments of basements and crawlspaces. Dehumidifiers are rated at 80°F and 60% relative humidity. At the cooler, real-life temperatures of a basement or crawlspace, the capacity of conventional dehumidifiers drops dramatically. At temperatures below 65°F, frost forms on the coils of a conventional unit and causes the unit to ice up. Frost cuts down on air circulation so the unit does not remove as much moisture from the air. Some units have automatic defrost but remove minimal quantities of water in cooler conditions. However, even at regular basement conditions, the Santa Fe HC removes more pints of water per day than most dehumidifiers.

MERV-11 Filtration: The Santa Fe Series utilizes an impeller rather than a propeller fan allowing the use of high-efficiency air filtration for improved indoor air quality. Standard MERV-11 filtration is 65% efficient and captures particles from 1.0 to 3.0 microns in size, resulting in effective filtration of most mold spores.

Optional Ductability: Attaching ductwork to the unit promotes air circulation in the crawlspace while allowing for the location of the unit by the crawlspace access door for convenience. The unit may be located remotely when space doesn't allow for placement in the crawlspace. For finished basements the unit may be located in a mechanical room and ducted to the finished area for remote operation.
