Benefits of Dehumidification

Moisture in the home has many sources: plants, pets, people, cooking, washing, groundwater, and infiltration of outside air. Moisture levels above 55% relative humidity can create musty odors and can also stimulate the growth of mold, mildew, bacteria, and other biological allergens.

To avoid the problems caused by moisture, a properly sized dehumidifier is necessary to maintain relative humidity between 30-50% throughout the home—including the basement. This creates a less hospitable environment for dust mites, centipedes, silver-fish, spiders, and other pests. Your basement can then be used for additional comfortable living space and the safe storage of clothing, books, heirlooms, and collectibles.

Santa Fe Dehumidifiers

At Santa Fe, We are focused on the front line in defense — The big three: Dehumidification, Filtration and Ventilation.

DEHUMIDIFICATION
When your home has too much moisture, it becomes a breeding ground for pests and a trigger for indoor pollutants such as dust, pollen, mold spores and bacteria. It can put your home’s structural integrity, as well as your comfort, at risk. Our innovative dehumidifiers properly maintain humidity levels — regardless of how hot it is outside and how much moisture is already in your home. At the same time, our superior filtration helps remove those pesky indoor pollutants.

VENTILATION
Santa Fe’s Ultra Series provides the additional benefit of ventilation because supplying fresh air and purging stale, polluted air is crucial to ensuring a safe living environment.
